Brent is an associate with Davis LLP in their corporate commercial and securities law division. Brent has legal experience in general corporate matters, mergers, acquisitions, securities transactions, including public and private offerings, securities reporting, compliance and disclosure obligations, as well as corporate governance. Prior to embarking on a legal career, Brent worked and lived in both Japan and Australia.
In 2003, Brent received his BCom degree from the Sauder School of Business, majoring in Urban Land Economics. Brent also received his law degree from UBC in 2007.
During his time at the Sauder School of Business, Brent was employed as a doorman at the Pit Pub and assisted at numerous POITs functions. While enrolled in law school, Brent was employed as a student rights representative for the UBC Alma Mater Society. In his spare time, Brent enjoys hacking his way through the brush on the golf links around Calgary and tackling the numerous ski hills in the region. Brent and his wife, along with their dogs, enjoy camping and hiking in the national parks as well as all the wonderful off-leash dog parks that Calgary has to offer.
Why Involved in the SBCC
I want to help develop a strong alumni network here in Calgary that is self-functioning and serves to both beneficially reconnect long-time Sauder alumni residents of this city and expose newly arrived Sauder alumni to Calgary’s vibrant business community.
