Analyst, Mercer Calgary
Denise is an Associate in the Human Capital consulting business of Mercer in Calgary, where she has been involved in a variety of executive and director compensation reviews within the Alberta oil and gas industry.
Denise holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a concentration in Finance from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. She is also currently enrolled in the Chartered Financial Analyst program.
While at UBC, Denise was involved in the student community as the Chair of the UBC Tax Assistance Clinic for Students where she led recruitment and fundraising efforts that resulted in a doubling of the operating budget and the student volunteer base. She also worked at the Business Career Centre as a Business Development Coordinator where she organized initiatives that created networking opportunities for students.
In her spare time, Denise likes to swim, snowboard and practice yoga. She also loves to travel and has visited over 10 countries.
Why Involved in SBCC
I didn't know anyone when I first moved to Calgary. Over time, I have been able to re-connect with friends and form new connections, and I know how challenging it is to relocate to a new city. I became involved in the Sauder Business Club of Calgary to assist others in making a similar transition and to expand my own network.
